The Printer by Myron Uhlberg
This story took place in a newspaper factory. The dad and his son are the main characters. This book is about a deaf father and his son. The deaf father works at a factory. The story is a little sad because he has very few friends.

One day a fire broke out. He told people to get out of the building but in sign language. He was the last one out the factory because he was trying to help everyone else out to safety.

I liked the part when everybody got out the factory safely. I think my friend Jazmin will like this book because she likes books that start with a problem and that have a happy ending.

This story took place in a newspaper factory. The main characters are the son and the father. This book is about a man that was deaf. He works at a newspaper factory. Then, the factory caught on fire. Next, he had to give the other deaf people a signal because he can’t speak. Last, he was honored for helping the workers not get hurt by the fire.

I liked when the father gave the signal to the other deaf people. He signed “fire.”

My brother Quintin would like this book because he likes printers very much.

The name of the story is The Printer:by
Myron Uhlberg. The story takes place in a
Newspaper factory. The main characters are
The printer and his son. The story is about a deaf printer. Everytime he came home he
Always made a four corner hat for his son.
One day at the factory a fire began to spread. The printer told all the deaf workersin sign language that a fire was going to burn down the building. The people who weren’t deaf found out and got out safely.
Everybody got out and they all thanked
Him. This time the workers made the printer
A four corner hat.
The part I liked best was when the printer used sign language so everybody could get out of the building. My brother would like this book because he likes to learn sign language and that way he could learn a little more.

This book took place in a newspaper factory. The main two characters are a boy and his father. This book is about a boy’s father that worked in a newspaper factory. The boy’s father was deaf. He had a few friends that were also deaf. He protected a lot of his workers by signing “fire.” After the fire, it took a long time to build the factory. At the end of this story, he gave his son a paper hat made out of newspaper that they made out of that day’s newspaper.
My favorite part was when he signed “fire” to the other deaf people so they can save the non-deaf people.
My brother would like this book because he likes books about deaf people.

This story takes place at a newspaper factory. The main charactors are the boy and his father. This story is about a newpaper factory and the father. The father was deaf and could not speak well. In addition, there was a fire and the dad helped everyone out of the factory. I loved when the father helped everyone out. I think that my teacher Ms.Simpson would like this story because it can teach kids a lot about being kind to each other and when something happens they can help each other like this man did.
